Lindsey Darking runs Impact Writers Ltd, working with associates when required. She studied journalism at City University and has two master’s degrees and a professional teaching qualification.
Lindsey has worked as a staff news journalist on the Ealing Gazette, on Teacher magazine for the National Union of Teachers and for the Daily Echo in Southampton. Her work at the Daily Echo also included writing, designing and editing many special supplements. She has written freelance articles for numerous publications, including the Guardian, Times Educational Supplement and many local and national magazines.
Lindsey has also worked as a freelance PR officer for several local councils, including Hampshire County Council, New Forest District Council and Test Valley Borough Council. Her clients have included national and local government, health organisations, businesses and charities. She has written extensively on education, health, social care, youth issues, tourism, conservation and business and also has extensive experience of proofreading.
In her spare time Lindsey loves walking, cycling, reading, improving her French and screenwriting. She also sings soprano with Tamar Valley choir Calstock Singers.
